The word “truth” is so powerful. Before I knew the Lord, I only knew the word “truth” as the difference between wrong and right.

In fact, the dictionary describes truth as “the quality or state of being true”. It’s actually a really hard word to define if you aren’t walking with Jesus.

The Bible tells us that God is Truth. He is the creator and all Truth comes from Him. There are several Bible verses about Truth that have helped me gain a better understanding of Truth.

As believers, we are to be witnesses to the Truth.  We are to speak Truth, live the Truth, etc. Scripture about Truth shows us how important truth was in biblical times and how it applies to us today.

We find Jesus telling us many times “I am telling you the truth” and that He is the Truth. As Christians, we believe everything in the Bible is true. The Bible equips us in all areas to be an example of the Truth.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)
