Recommendations

I created this page to share all the great things I recommend. There are a lot of services and products that me and my family use. We are either using them now or have used them in the past. I would never recommend anything to you that I haven’t tried personally. I will continue adding to this page as I come across new things I recommend. Enjoy!

ABC Mouse: This is a fun online reading program for kids that you can start as young as 2 years old. They make it really fun to learn. It’s nice because they are learning through phonics with songs and fun activities.  You can try this program with a 30 day free trial.

Amazon Prime: We’ve been using Amazon Prime for the last several years and love it. It’s a great way to save money. There are several benefits available with a Amazon Prime Membership. I personally love shopping on Amazon, it’s super beneficial for me and my family. I’m a big online shopper so just having the free 2-day shipping pays for itself! Check out how you can get a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime or if you’re a college student, check out how you can get Amazon Prime free for 6 months with an Amazon Prime Free Trial for College Students.

Beachbody on Demand: Working out at home has not only been a money saver but it’s also a time saver. I spend an extra 45 minutes a day just getting to and from the gym. I’ve been working out successfully at home for over a year now. There are some really great workout programs you can do at home. I personally love the Beachbody On Demand workout program. They offer a lot of variety and great support. You can get a free 14 day trial to check it out for yourself.

Blue Apron: This is a great meal planning service. They send you meals with everything you need to cook them. We tried it out and enjoyed it. I don’t use it very often because it’s not cost effective for our family of 5. It’s fun to splurge sometimes. You can try it out and get some free meals when you use this Blue Apron link.

Body Ecology: I love using Body Ecology products. I currently use their Kefir starter to make milk kefir. A few years ago I followed the Body Ecology Diet to improve my health. Check out my Body Ecology Diet review. Click this Body Ecology link to check out all the great products they have to offer!

Ebates: I’ve been using Ebates to earn cash back for the past 7 years. I do most of my shopping online and love that I can get cash back on my online purchases. You can earn cash back at big retailers and small retailers. I’ve earned over $700 so far. It’s free to sign up and if you sign up through my Ebates link, they’ll start you off with a $10 cash back bonus. Click this Ebates link to get started. I also wrote a post with step by step instructions about how to get paid to shop online with Ebates. It’s super easy and a great a way to earn extra income.

Groupon: This is one of my favorite daily deals sites. I’ve gotten great deals on event tickets, local activities, and more! You can find local deals that are specific to where you live. It’s free to join. Check out Groupon to get some great deals!

Hulu: We decided to get rid of cable over 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier. We decided to try Hulu and love it. They have a regular version which is similar to Netflix and they have a “live” version. The “live” version is one of our favorite alternatives to cable. It has all the “live” shows we like to watch.  Hulu is currently offering a free 30 day trial if you want to try it out. You can also get a free 7 day trial of Hulu Live too!

Printable Coupons: I love saving money and one of the ways I do that is by printing coupons. Three of my favorite printable coupons sites are Coupons.com, Smart Source, and Red Plum. You should check them out to get some good coupons.

Reading Eggs: Reading Eggs is an online reading program for kids starting at 2 years old. I love this because it’s a fun way of learning and it’s really effective. We started using this program when my son was 3 years old. He loved it! They make it really fun to learn. You can try this program with a 14 day free trial.

Restaurants.com: This is a great place to find discount restaurant deals. They have over 62,000 restaurants available nationwide. You can get certificates that save you up to 50% off your bill. We’ve used this service and really enjoy it. They’ve been adding more and more restaurants which is nice. Visit Restaurants.com to check out the restaurants they have available in your area.

SlingTV: When we decided to get rid of cable, we started using SlingTV in addition to Hulu. SlingTV is “live” TV. We got it because my husband loves sports and it was the only way we he could watch sports without cable. It allows you to pick a package with the channels you like most. You end up paying less because you are getting rid of channels you don’t watch. We don’t need 100 channels, we are fine with 25 channels. If you want to try it out, you can get a 7 day free trial.

Survey Sites: You can make extra money by taking online surveys. I don’t have a lot of time to take surveys but when I do, there are a few survey companies that I trust. Here are some of my favorite survey companies:  Inbox Dollars, Ipsos I-say, Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, My Points Surveys, Toluna Surveys and Pinecone Research. You can also read about Bernie’s experience in my post: the 7 best sites to get paid for surveys.

Swagbucks: There are a lot of different ways to earn with Swagbucks. My favorite way to earn is through searching the web. You search for things online like you would on “Google”. The difference is Swagbucks rewards you and Google doesn’t. With Swagbucks, you can redeem your bucks for gift cards. They have really good gift cards and they award them to you digitally. Head over to Swagbucks to check it out.

Thredup: This is our favorite online thrift store. We like to get used clothes in good condition to save money. This online thrift store does a great job displaying the clothing items. They even make sure you know if there’s a defect with the item. We order from Thredup often. Right now, they are offering a $10 sign up bonus when you use this Thredup link. We wrote a review about our experience with Thredup. Check out my post: Shop for Used Clothing Online and Save Big.

Zulily: This is my other favorite deal site. They have great deals on clothing and house decor. I’ve been ordering our Christmas Pj’s from Zulily for the past 5 years. I’ve always been happy with my purchases. Sign up to get 70% off daily deals. It’s free to join. Click this Zulily link to get started.
