It’s time to share my weekly meal plan with you. Meal planning has been part of my life for the past several years. It has helped me save money and serve my family.
My hope is that you can benefit from me sharing my meal plan with you weekly. You can use this plan exactly how it is or change it to your liking. This meal plan accommodates our family of 5 and we usually have leftovers.
This week is super busy for me. We are serving at VBS for our church so I have mostly slow cooker meals and quick meals on this meal plan.
If you want to create your own meal plan, check out my post on how to create a meal plan.
This Week’s Meal Plan
Monday – Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
This is one of my easy slow cooker recipes. I get two jars of spaghetti sauce, 1 pound of ground turkey and 1 pound of sausage. I remove the casing on the sausage by squeezing little bite-size pieces out of the sausage casing. Next, I combine the sausage pieces and the ground turkey in a skillet and cook them a bit to get the grease out (you can cook them separately if you don’t have a big enough pan). After that’s done, I add them to the slow cooker and pour the two jars of spaghetti sauce over the meat. I cook it on low for 8 hours. Serve with noodles, garlic bread, and salad.
Tuesday – Bangers and Mash
This is a yummy recipe. It’s not my recipe. I like to use turkey sausage for this recipe instead of pork. Click this Bangers and Mash link for the recipes.
Wednesday – Fajitas
This is another yummy recipe. It’s not my recipe. It’s the best fajita recipe. I’ve tried a slow cooker version but I didn’t like it because everything is really mushy. Click this Fajitas link to get the recipe.
Thursday – Steak and Macaroni and Cheese
I know you’re probably thinking steak again but I need to use up the steak in my freezer. Our favorite kind of steak is Ribeye steak. I used to make potatoes to go with our steak but the family decided they wanted macaroni and cheese instead. The combination of the two is great together.
Friday – Slow Cooker Fiesta Chicken
This is a really simple and flavorful chicken dish. Click this Fajita Chicken link to get the recipe. We serve this over rice and it’s so yummy.
Saturday – Steak Salad
We like to use our leftover steak for steak salads. We fry corn tortilla’s to make tostadas, put beans on the tostada and put them on the bottom of the salad. We toss a salad with cut up steak, romaine lettuce, shredded cheese, and blue cheese dressing. Then we take the salad and put it over one or two tostada shells. It is so good!
Sunday – Taco Soup
It may seem a little hot for taco soup but the kids love it. The nice thing about this recipe is you can eat it as a soup or use it as a topping over chips and make nachos. That’s my favorite way to eat it. Click this Taco Soup link to get the recipe.
That’s my meal planning for this week. I hope this is helpful to you. I have a board on Pinterest called “Recipes We Like” (we’ve tried all the recipes on this board and have approved them) that you can follow for more recipes. I’d love to hear any tips you may have to make meal planning easier.
